Kevin Gerhart from Brunswick, Ohio, won his first WSOP bracelet back in 2019. Then, in 2020, he won the WSOP Online $500 pot-limit Omaha six-max event, which granted him his second bracelet. But this year, Gerhart proved to be even more successful, as he won two more WSOP bracelets.
Kevin Gerhart Wins Two WSOP Bracelets in 2021
Back in October, Gerhart won the Event #40: H.O.R.S.E. Championship and collected his third WSOP bracelet. Along with the bracelet, the win brought him a hefty $361,124 prize. On Wednesday this week, the poker pro collected his fourth bracelet and the second one for this year. Gerhart won Event #62: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better.
The event had accumulated a total prize po top646 ol of $967,875. To win the tournament, Gerhart proved to be the best out of 725 players that entered. Besides the bracelet, he collected the grand prize of $186.789. Thanks to the recent wins, according to WSOP, Gerhart’s earnings have jumped to $969,447.

Dirksen Played against Gerhart during the Heads up Battle
Upon entering Day 3 of the event, Gerhart was second in chips out of the 13 players that remained. He gained the upper hand and used his stack as an advantage to eliminate opponents. During the final table action with eight players; Dylan Wilkerson was the first player to hit the rail. He took home an $18,278 prize.
After that, Michael Trivett was eliminated and collected a $23,891 prize for ranking 7th. Roman Hrabec from the Czech Republic was the 6th eliminated player. He collected a $31,733 prize. Alexandr Orlov, a player from Russia, ranked 5th with a $42,823 prize. The 4th place in the tournament was taken by Sterling Lopez, while Matthew Kaplan ranked 3rd. While Lopez collected $58,695, Kaplan went home with an $81,696 prize.
In the end, the heads-up battle was between Dustin Dirksen and Gerhart. On the final hand, Gerhart called all-in and won with a top pair against Dirksen. As a result, Dirksen ranked 2nd and collected $115,440.
Speaking to PokerNews, Gerhart revealed that he feels amazing after winning the tournament. He outlined that the “different mixed disciplines” proved to be way more fun than just playing No-Limit Hold’em. Gerhart shared that the key to winning PLO8 is in applying pressure to your opponents, making them fold.
