Holland America Extends Casino Areas On Five Cruise Ships

Carnival Corporation & plc subsidiary, Holland America Line, headquartered in Seattle, Washington, is expanding the casino offerings within two of its four classes of ships, Signature Class and Pinnacle Class, with the addition of over 140 of the latest and player-favorite slot and video poker machines, according to a recent press release.

Increased offer of games:

The expansion of the casino areas will be on five of the cruise line’s ships including its newest, Rotterdam, as well as Nieuw Statendam, Koningsdam, Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam.

In a press release, officials from Holland America said: “The increased casino space on Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam, Koningsdam, Eurodam and Nieuw Amsterdam adds more traditional slots, progressive jackpots and video poker.”

In this regard, Daniel Materassi, senior vice president, guest commerce and performance analytics for Holland America Line said: “Casino play is a key part of their Holland America Line cruise vacation for many of our guests, and we were able to take advantage of some extra space on our Pinnacle Class ships to add more gaming machines.”

Newest slot tournaments:

Along with the addition of more traditional slots, video poker and progressive jackpots, the cruise line’s casinos also plan to feature new “on-demand slot tournaments,” which, according to the operator, will increase gameplay “for guests who love to gamble.”

Commenting on the new slots, Mr. Materassi said: “The slots we’ve added are some of the newest in the industry, bringing exciting gameplay to our guests alongside the popular classic ma ufa800 chines.”

Additional non-smoking space:

In addition to the general expansion of the casino areas mentioned above, a special non-smoking area has been created in the Rotterdam, Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam casinos.

Constant changes:

This new change in the form of expanded casino areas follows the recent change to the popular “Music Walk” events on each ship.
