The twelve casinos in Pennsylvania recorded an almost 1% increase year-on-year in aggregated gross gaming revenues from the play of slots for November as the monthly tally exceeded $183.06 million.
October comparison disappoints:
According to official ps published by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on Monday, the November statewide p represented a rise of 0.96% year-on-year but was 1.71% behind the $186.25 million recorded for October, which was itself 1.73% lower than the sum for the same month in 2017.
Five record gains:
The biggest mover was Montgomery County’s Valley Forge Casino Resort as its 600 slots recorded an 18.85% year-on-year swell in terms of November revenues to $7.42 million while the 3,330 units offered by the nearby Parx Casino saw their monthly tally grow by some 9.52% to hit $33.08 million.
There was also good news from Rivers Casino Pittsburgh as its over 2,900 slots brought in combined November revenues of $22.65 million, which represented a boost of some 8.08% year-on-year, while the approximately 3,000 units located inside the nearby The Meadows Casino Racetrack Hotel posted a 0.66% comparable improvement for the 30-day period to $16.18 million.
Delaware County delight:
Completing November’s slot winners was Harrah’s Philadelphia as the Delaware County property operated by Las Vegas– headquartered Caesars Entertainment Corporation saw its roughly 2,000 units post a 0.68% year-on-year advance in combined revenues to $15.18 million.
Septuplet come-down:
However, November was not as good for the remaining seven casinos in Pennsylvania as they all recorded year-on-year declines in terms of slot revenues with Mohegan Sun Pocono leading this unenviable pack thanks to its monthly tally of 7BALL $14.56 million being 7.7% lower than for the same period in 2017.
Similarly, the giant Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem recorded a 6.46% diminution year-on-year in terms of November slot revenues to $22.55 million while the $8.28 million declared by Presque Isle Downs and Casino represented a decrease of 5.18%.
Continuing this bad news, the around 600 slots on offer at Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin saw their combined revenues for November drop by 2.52% year-on-year to $2.07 million although this was not as bad as Mount Airy Casino Resort, which recorded a 5.05% slump to $11.22 million.
SugarHouse Casino cutback:
Finally, Philadelphia’s SugarHouse Casino saw November revenues from its collection of around 1,890 slots tumble by 1.52% year-on-year to $14.01 million while Dauphin County’s Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course reported an only 0.68% comparable decline for the month to almost $15.83 million.
